  • Overview

    The Product Data Management (PDM) Bill of Materials (BOM) Technical Analysts is a program team member responsible for all BOM activities related to the program and on time BOM deliverables to all BOM Stakeholders.

    • 8-12 Weeks training to be completed in the Auburn Hills & Southfield locations
    • Placement will be at the Saline or Auburn Hills location with some travel to Southfield


    • Responsible to ensure BOM’s are delivered on time to plant and program team members per deliverable deadlines.
    • Responsible to interpret and communicate change from OEM systems to program team members in order to properly execute BOM changes.
    • Responsible for all engineering BOM activities and support BOM transfer into Company’s Core System.
    • Responsible for Variant and Color definition per program team/OEM requirement.
    • Responsible to manage communication of BOM status in change management meetings and in related BOM tracking tools.
    • Responsible for the implementation of change from OEM/Internal/Supplier stakeholders as it relates to the BOM within PDM core system.
    • Coach program and plant team members on software functionalities and usage in order to best support BOM & Change Management along with other PDM functions.
    • Support PDM users for all Division sites.
    • Responsible to ensure BOM’s meet Core System requirements and are validated to PEM BOM quality standards.
    • Troubleshoot Core System/PDM integration issues with PDM support team and Engineering Core System coordination team.
    • Analyze user feedback and write Requests for Change (RFC) to improve the software.
    • Communicate with PDM Support team the needs and requests of Division users.
    • Work with Program teams to develop business processes for the user community.
    • Collaborate with the global Company PDM support team on best practices, processes and procedures, reporting tools, Tips & Tricks, and user guides.


    Education/ Experience


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Related Fields or significant professional experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a PDM deployment or application position.


    • Good knowledge of PDM Systems- Enovia v6 preferred.
    • Good knowledge of MS Office- Excel & PowerPoint preferred.
    • Experience supporting and/or training PDM users.
    • Excellent knowledge of Engineering Bill of Materials.
    • Good knowledge of Business Group processes & technologies.
    • Able to learn software and processes quickly and change with agility.
    • Able to work and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
    • Able to work autonomously.
    • Self-Starter
    • Result oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
    • English required.
    • Availability to travel.
    • Good knowledge of OEM to supplier communication portals a plus.
