The Ergonomist will provide technical ergonomic support for new and current vehicle programs.  The Ergonomist will drive optimization of worker interfaces associated with automotive manufacturing using digital human modeling simulation and ergonomic analysis tools.


Include but not limited to

  • Perform virtual and physical ergonomic assessments using standard ergonomic analysis tools and/or Digital Human Modeling to identify/prioritize ergonomic risk factors, comply with corporate guidelines and standards and improve operator efficiency, quality, reduce cost and improve operator safety.
  • Identify ergonomic risk factors and eliminate issues associated with product, process, tooling, material handling, work-station design and man assignments and communicate recommendations for resolution.
  • Provide ergonomic expertise to various assembly plant support groups.
  • Support ergonomic guideline validation and World Class Manufacturing principles.



May be required to operate a company vehicle. Valid driver's license is required, along with a clean driving record.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ergonomics, Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, Human Engineering or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience applying ergonomic principles and ergonomic analysis tools in a manufacturing or academic setting
  • Assembly plant and/or launch experience.
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle assembly and associated processes
